Wow, I can not believe that my little blog - The Book Corner is a year old today!!!
I have had a wonderful year on The Book Corner, I have made many new friends, in the publishing world and Twitter world by connecting with other book bloggers and I thank everyone for their support.
I began blogging about books because I realised that I read a lot! I already had a passion for them but I wanted to tell the world about fabulous books and what was out there.
Since I have been reviewing and blogging I have been lucky enough to read books that I may never have had the opportunity to do so. I thank the publishers for opening my eyes and allowing me to experience genres I may not have delved into.
To celebrate The Book Corner being a year old today some wonderful authors have kindly offered to help me host a giveaway! I have some fantastic prizes for you to have a chance of winning!
Giveaway 1!!!!
The first giveaway I have for you to enter is for UK only - sorry all my international followers - there will be an international giveaway further down so keep reading!!! This is for a SIGNED yes SIGNED copy of Kate Anthony's wonderful debut novel Beautiful Day. Here is a little more about Kate -
Kate Anthony grew up in the Midlands. On graduating, she began working as a residential social worker firstly with young offenders and later with vulnerable adults. She then joined the BBC, working as a producer in comedy for some years before moving to an independent production company as a drama producer. She lives close to Brighton with her family.
Beautiful Day is Kate's debut novel, here is the blurb:
'Today is the day that things are going to change for Rachel Bidewell.
She will walk through the doors of Clifton Avenue Care Home and start a new life.
Rachel is returning to work. And as she discovers, juggling a new job, three children and an ex husband can feel like drowning. Someone needs to throw her a lifeline...
Philip doesn't seem like an obvious lifesaver. He has just lost the one person who ever cared for him and, even as an adult, he doesn't know how to live in the real world.
But might Philip and Rachel each have something the other needs?
This is a story of unexpected friendship; of the messy, muddy territory of those broken by life - and what it takes to fix them. It reminds us that the very darkest of days can be funny, heart-warming and even beautiful.'

Giveaway 3!!!
O.k guys this giveaway is the INTERNATIONAL one!!! Wooohoooo and thank you so much to Jennifer G Roberts for providing this for The Book Corner! A little about Jennifer -
Jennifer Gilby Roberts has a degree in physics and a postgraduate certificate in computing, so a career writing fiction was inevitable really. She was born and grew up in Surrey/Greater London, but now lives in Richmond, North Yorkshire with her husband, small daughter, two middle-aged cats and a lot of dust bunnies.
Taking care of her daughter is now her main job, but previously she worked many thrilling jobs in administration. In these she learned the real truth of business: that every successful executive would be lost without their PA.
She can also be found getting red-faced at zumba class, reading historical porn (as her husband calls it - Regency romance to the rest of us) and humming nursery rhymes while going round Tesco. Her current obsessions include toffee crisp bars, Costa fruit coolers and the TV show Torchwood.
JGR writes chick lit novels and short stories featuring sweet (occasionally sexy) romance, dry humour and things going tits-up. They will especially appeal to fans of Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes and Jane Costello.
Her first novel The Dr Pepper Prophecies is a laugh out loud romantic comedy, best described as Jane Austen's Emma with Bridget Jones in the lead.
I am super excited that Jennifer has offered 3 e-copies of her new book Early Daze and wow look at that cover!!! Here is the blurb:
'Life has always gone smoothly for Jess, but then she got pregnant and it wasn’t just her breakfast that started going down the pan. And now her baby has “fallen out” before she’s even started ante-natal classes.
Suddenly, she's sucked into the bubble of the Neonatal Unit, where tensions run high and the real world feels very far away. She has a new home, new routines, new friends and even a new crush - and sleep deprivation, stress and separation are threatening to tear her neat little world apart.
When it's time for Jess to leave, what will she be going home to? And who will she be going home with?'
So all you have to do is enter via the rafflecopter!
